After earning a Master's Degree in Architecture from the Escola Tècnica Superior d'Arquitectura de Barcelona, I moved to London where I studied Graphic and Media Design at the London College of Communication.
'Queer Objects' is an exhibition about objects that fall outside heteronormative standards and challenge us to establish a different relating with with our bodies. The aim is to generate a queer orientation through the curatorial practice and to teach the audience how to reorient themselves with a different methodology. The key is to consider queer as a methodology and an instrument to design a scenario for experience, interaction, gathering and critical reflexion.
Sound symbolism is the idea that certain vocal sounds carry meaning in and of themselves. This is a project on visualisation of information that explores, on one hand, my own real grapheme-colour synesthesia and on the other hand, a fictional sound-colour synesthesia. I have created a system that transfers my mother tongues (Basque, Spanish and English) into patterns made of shapes and colours, an experiment in phonetics, linguistics and identity.
